Healthcare Resource Network is seeking  Full Time Radiology Technologist to provides services for Department of Radiology  at San Antonio Military Medical Center, JBSA – Fort Sam Houston, Tx.. 
 
Radiology Technologist Qualifications:
 
 Successfully completed a program of formal education as recommended by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, which has been approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA).  The program of formal education should be twenty-four months in length or equivalent.
 
 Must possess a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification and/or state licensure in a state or territory of the United States.
 
 Minimum of two years' current experience in clinical applications.
 
Possess knowledge in radiologic technology.
 
 Acquired experience which has provided some familiarity with medical care, anatomy, and physiology, radiographic procedures and radiographic equipment.
 
 Be familiar with technique charts, routine, and a variety of difficult radiographic examinations on General Electric, Siemens, Picker, Phillips, Lorad and Diasonics radiographic fluoroscopic, chest units, and portable equipment.  Difficult procedures include fluoroscopy studies such as venograms, where positioning and exposure timing are critical and leave very little margin for error.  Skull exams may be difficult exams given the positioning requirements, intricacies of the skull and variability among patients. 
 
Be able to use collimetors, equipment locks, mechanical tables and various film/screen system.
 
Excess specialist experience (i.e. ultrasound, CT, Mammography) may be applied toward the general radiology experience, knowledge and skills.
 
Possess a current card for certification in Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
 
HOURS OF PERFORMANCE. 
 
 The scheduled shift hours are from Sunday to Saturday, occasional Training and Government holidays.
 
 This break shall be nonchargeable to the government for compensation.  Example:  For a shift 0800 p.m. to 1630 p.m. compensation for pay purposes would be eight hours, with one half hour break.
