Job Description Summary

 
The accounting clerk is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of payroll and accounts payable functions.
 
 

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

 
  1. Accurately enters employee and payroll data, including time sheet information, into the payroll information system.
 
  1. Works with the CFO and members of the management team in resolving employee payroll problems.
 
  1. Responds to external requests for employee payroll information by accumulating and forwarding the requested documentation to the CFO for approval.
 
  1. Works with human resource personnel in maintaining employee database information.
 
  1. Accurately processes invoices and check requests including auditing for accuracy, proper authorization, and completeness of supporting documentation.
 
  1. Assigns invoice account distributions in accordance with the chart of accounts.
 
  1. Alerts appropriate management team members regarding late or missing documents required for payroll or accounts payable.
 
  1. Processes accounts payable and payroll and submit them to the CFO for review and approval.
 
  1. Maintains complete and accurate payroll and accounts payable records.
 
  1. Assists posting payments for accounts receivable.
 
  1. Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with employees and other customers.
 
  1. Maintains the confidentiality of employee and organization information at all times.
 
  1. Performs other specific projects relating to payroll, data entry, and information system operations as required.

Position Qualifications

 
  1. Experience and working knowledge of Microsoft products
 
  1. At least two (2) years experience in health care data entry, preferably in-home health care systems.
 
  1. At least one (1) year of previous health care related payroll and accounts payable/accounts receivable experience, preferably in-home health care.
 
  1. Able to use IBM-compatible systems and equipment.
 
  1. Is a high school graduate or equivalent, two (2) years college preferred.
