Facilities Technician

Role Summary
Responsible for the day-to-day operational support of one of our U.S. call centers and remote support of other locations as needed.  Functional responsibilities include: providing on-site technical support, security monitoring, facility management, asset management, and local vendor management.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
 
  • Providing on-site technical support for a center supporting 300+ personnel and 150+ PC’s.
  • As appropriate, escalating hardware, software, and network connectivity issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Executing local disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Monitoring security compliance in accordance with standards, policies and procedures.
  • Communicate real-time with management and call center staff to alert them of potential ongoing issues, and assist in action planning for areas of improvement.
  • Physical site maintenance:  Must be capable of handling odd jobs (hanging white boards, relocating equipment, replacing light bulbs, etc.) as needed to keep the facility maintained and prepared for client visits.
  • Work with local vendors who provided HVAC, house-keeping and other services to maintain a healthy working environment. 
  • Assist management with vendor selection and bidding process as needed for larger projects.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum two (2) years of working experience with an emphasis on PC support in a Microsoft environment.
  • Strong technical acumen and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certifications or related college coursework preferred
Work Conditions
 
  • Evening and weekend work to meet business needs.
  • Revolving on call schedule.
