The Quality Manager implements and manages quality control systems designed to ensure continuous production of products and applications consistent with established standards, customer specifications and production goals. The Quality Manager shall possess a Bachelor’s degree in a business, science or engineering related field of study or prior relevant business management experience in a manufacturing company. The Quality Manager shall have a minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible work experience in a manufacturing environment with a minimum of one (1) year of supervisory and/or managerial experience in the quality control function in a manufacturing environment. Minimum skills, knowledge and ability requirements include:
Prior supervisory and/or management experience.
Prior experience in the use of quality engineering methods in inspection.
Must have detailed knowledge of API and ISO 9001.
Must be able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
Must be familiar with product construction and application.
Must be highly organized, self-motivated individual who can work independently.
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations.
Must be computer proficient.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures a high level of internal and external customer service.
Investigates and assists in the correction of customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
Supervises workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
Supervises and managers field repair operations.
Coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with the Director of Manufacturing to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
Documents and implements inspection criteria and procedures.
Interprets quality control philosophy to key personnel within Company.
Provides and oversees inspection activity for product throughout production cycle.
Interacts with vendors to ensure quality of all purchased parts.
Directs test functions and applications.
Maintain active role on internal Continuous Improvement teams.
Performs other duties as required by company management.
