Job Description
 
As part of the PatientPoint Information Technology team for Management Information Systems, our Salesforce Developer will work to leverage the full features and benefits of the Salesforce platform in support of the needs and goals across the organization.
 
Our Salesforce Developer must be a team player and be able to work effectively and efficiently with a diverse group of team members. S/He should be able to quickly digest and apply necessary training and demonstrate those skills within our Salesforce organization, which includes development of solutions for Sales Cloud and Service Cloud. S/He should enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. S/He must have good interpersonal and organizational
skills. S/He needs to have good verbal and written communication – understanding complex issues and making them understandable for others. Finally, s/he must embrace change to support a dynamic growing department within the organization.
 

Job Duties/ Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and maintain solutions using…
    • Apex classes and triggers
    • Lightning Components, Visualforce, CSS and Force.com pages
    • Process Builder, flows, approval processes and validation rules
    • Platform Events, Salesforce API, SOAP API and REST API
    • Standard/Custom objects and fields
  • Perform unit testing, performance analysis, debugging and defect fixes
  • Perform routine review of code, configuration, data, and usage to ensure long term viability, integrity, and adoption
  • Deploy custom code as required in coordination with the Salesforce System Administrators
  • Troubleshoot escalated issues within the Salesforce organization
  • Ability to understand and interpret business requirements and communicate effectively with the team/business
  • Contribute to all technical aspects of IT projects, including writing technical and functional specifications as needed
  • Provide subject matter expertise in meetings for determining how to fully leverage Salesforce capabilities and available apps on the AppExchange to meet current and future company goals
  • Perform ad hoc analysis of the functionality for current development as needed
  • Support development needs related to installed AppExchange applications
  • Reinforce established organization best practices for Salesforce development
  • Effectively communicate task status and risks
 

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Software, Technology or other relevant field; or equivalent professional work experience
  • 3+ years in work-related Salesforce development
  • Current Salesforce.com Platform Developer I Certification
  • Current Salesforce.com Administrator Certification
  • In-depth knowledge and demonstrated ability to use the standard capabilities of the Salesforce.com platform
  • Demonstrated ability to develop on the Salesforce platform using the following …
    • Apex Classes and Triggers
    • Visualforce
    • Object-Oriented methodology
    • Batch and asynchronous/future patterns
    • Lightning Components
    • SLDS CSS framework
    • SOAP and REST API Integrations
    • Platform Events
  • Solid knowledge of SOQL, DML and understanding of relational databases
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented concepts and design patterns
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Force.com IDE
  • Proficient in SFDC Administrative tasks
  • Demonstrated strong organizational, analytical, problem solving and communication skills
  • Demonstrated proactive worker motivated to bring relevant solutions and improvements to team
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and record of meeting quality standards
