Job Summary
PatientPoint is looking for an eager, front end designer/developer who is motivated to combine the art of design with the art of programming—to join our high-functioning, dynamic and evolving creative team. One major focus will be supporting html 5/mobile banner designs for our exam room interactive product and mobile products. You will need to be able to adapt and modify PatientPoint or client-supplied assets and optimize them for display within this unique program. Attention to detail and ability to project-juggle is a must. You must have an evolved understanding of how people use devices and the flexibility to adapt to new technologies. Other responsibilities will be as web development support of corporate and product websites as well as dynamic html content for digital signage.
 
 
Duties/Responsibilities
  • Develop intuitive, usable, and engaging interactions and visual designs for mobile experiences.
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
  • Understand optimization of application for maximum speed and scalability
  • Assist back-end developers with display coding and troubleshooting
  • Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies
  • Promote usability best practices
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows etc
  • Implement responsible design/developer principles to ensure that assets render well across multiple devices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the design/build processes
  • Participate in the development process from definition, through design, build, test, release, and maintenance.
  • Stay abreast of UX trends and look for creative ideas and inspiration in parallel analogous worlds.
 
Qualifications/Requirements
  • Strong graphic design skills, with a good understanding of typography, intuitive layouts and palate development.
  • Excellent understanding of user-experience design for mobile and the web, technology trends, demonstrable design skills, and ability to show relevant work.
  • Proven ability to deliver high quality designs to customers.
  • A team player who can easily adapt in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3
  • Basic understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery
  • Good understanding of WordPress, Drupal, and/or other content management back-end systems
  • Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git / SVN
  • Work history with web banners or motion graphics animation skills are a plus
 
Education Requirement
Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Computer Sciences or HCI
