Event Staff
1st, 2nd , and 3rd shift; weekends and holidays’ 
*Amount of hours per week will vary greatly based on the amount of events we have scheduled and your personal availability.
Special Event Staff provides services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows and conferences at various locations around Grand Rapids, Battle Creek, and Kalamazoo, MI
  • Practice the G. I. F. T. S program method of customer service.
  • Hospitality Position – must be very customer service oriented.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Primary responsibility is to protect the performer(s) and patrons of each event.
  • May be required to make rounds of the area.
  • Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
  • Check for employee and vendor identifications.
  • Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities.
  • May direct traffic on the premises.
  • Must follow venue specific guidelines.
  • May be required to complete incident reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work days, evenings & weekends. 
  • Must be available to work at least 3 events per month.
  • Must have excellent customer service, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to be standing, walking, and working in or out doors for 8-12 hours at a time.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

The employee is required to hear conversations in noisy environments. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
