                    Concrete Finisher- Marietta, Georgia
C. W. Matthews Contracting Company has immediate opening for experienced Cement Finishers. Cement Finisher’s primary job function is to smooth wet concrete after a concrete pour. Cement finishers are expected to assist in all task performed by the concrete flat work or bridge crew. Applicants must be willing to work nights and weekends and must provide personal transportation to and from work. In addition to general concrete work, a cement finisher’s job consists of, but is not limited to, the following duties:
Building wood and metal forms;
Erection and wrecking of all forms;
Setting and tying steel;
Pouring concrete;
Set up and maintenance of erosion control;
Loading and unloading of materials;
Shoveling dirt, gravel, and asphalt;
General clean up around job site;
Checking and maintaining grade stakes;
Set up and maintenance of all traffic control aids;
Operating equipment such as backhoes, Skid Steer Loaders, and any other equipment an employee is able to operate
Driving small trucks, flatbeds, water trucks, and sand trucks;
Maintenance of all equipment and tools.
The above listed duties require periods of standing, walking, climbing, stooping and bending. As well as periodic lifting of 10 to 50 pounds.  Applicants must have reliable transportation to the job sites in designated project areas.
