CASE PLANNER - PREIS
PREIS (Personal Responsibility Education Program Innovative Strategies) teen pregnancy prevention program.
1.Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, social work, or guidance and counseling required. Master’s preferred.
2.At least two years of experience working with adolescents who are juvenile offenders, homeless runaways, gang activity, violent behavior, drug use or selling, domestic violence, school truancy, and high risk behaviors for HIV/STI transmission.
3.Experience with adolescent development.
4.Experience working with culturally diverse populations, client intervention, assessment and documentation.
5.Familiarity with Detroit community and community resources.
6.Must meet all Agency licensing requirements: TB test, DHS clearance, valid Michigan driver’s license, etc.
7.Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
1. Maintain on-going contact with clients, making home visits, ensuring involvement in support groups as planned, participate in reviews of progress in the program.
2.Lead participant case conferences to moderate and ensure participant progress.
3.Training and supervision of volunteers.
4.Grant report writing
5.Maintain client records and documentation.
6.Compile statistics and complete narratives for various reports.
7.Help develop and nurture strong relationships with other agencies, and participate in at least one community coalition.
8.Other duties as assigned.
