VP of Marketing and Sales - North America  (Process Engineer of Demand)

Abrasive Technology currently has an opening for an energetic professional to join our technical leadership team as a VP of Marketing and Sales. This position is responsible for coverage in North America with a home base in Columbus, Ohio.
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the organizational design of the Demand process (including sales, marketing, and customer service).
  • Responsible for the North America sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes ensuring they integration with other organizational planning processes.
  • Develop 3 P’s strategies to increase market penetration, brand awareness and leads.
  • Maintain expert working knowledge of AT products, customer applications, key customer needs and requirements for the market.
  • Travel with individual sales associates to maintain an understanding of customer issues, and to provide individual coaching and professional development. 
  • Responsible for defining compensation and incentive models within AT philosophies to optimize sales and productivity.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with current and future customers
  • Maintain department expenses at or below budgeted levels.
  • Collaborate and coordinate quarterly Marketing and Sales Meetings.
  • Approximately 30% travel required.
 
Qualified candidates will possess the following: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field strongly preferred
  • 7+ years’ of industrial manufacturing knowledge
  • 7+ years’ of Marketing experience
  • 7+ years’ experience managing multiple territories via North America
  • 7+ years’ of managing multiple product lines including defining and implementing strategies
  • Experience selling a technical product in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and translate into tactical plans for execution while maintaining established timelines and budgets 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability and desire to listen, are a must
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
