The School of Business at Park University is seeking to fill a Finance Program Director position. This position directs the undergraduate and graduate finance program by providing academic oversight of the delivery of our finance degree to 40 campus centers across the U.S. and online.
This is a full-time, tenure-track position beginning August 2014. The ability to teach online is preferred. Applicants must have strong teaching and organizational skills as well as the ability to engage in scholarship and service. A terminal degree in Finance or a closely related area is required. ABDs will be considered. The appointment can carry rank at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants should have a teaching, research, and service record supporting appointment as an Associate Professor.
Essential skills for this candidate includes evidence of effective teaching with outcome-based practices, scholarship potential, and the ability to work collaboratively. Online teaching experience and experience in course design is desired. Evidence of applied professional experience is preferred.
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, advising students, participating actively in scholarship and research, and collaborating with colleagues in program development. Other responsibilities include being active in professional organizations within the discipline, providing service to the university and community, and other faculty-related duties as assigned.
