The Marketing Market Access Manager person will lead all marketing efforts directed towards managed care organizations and third party payers, a key customer segment which drives the vast majority of revenue for the company. The objectives will be to develop tools and identify resources to increase coverage, third party reimbursement and in-network contracts for Natera family of products.

Responsibilities


  • This person will develop and manage the value propositions for local and national MCO customers, including private insurers as well as Medicaid and Medicare plus international payer organizations.
  • This individual will have high-level vision to understand the healthcare and managed care environments, track changes that can affect future reimbursement, measure the size and attractiveness of local, national, and international opportunities, and develop strategies to target company resources for maximum ROI. 
  • This individual will develop and execute tactics to achieve these objectives, bringing together clinical and economic arguments in favor of Natera’s products, 
  • Creating sales tools and dossiers to aid the company’s Market Access and Sales teams, 
  • Manage vendors who develop our cost effectiveness models,
  • Interact with managed care contacts from our channel partners to create a synchronized approach.
  • Coordinate and attend trade shows
  • Additional responsibilities as required


This role is critical for Natera’s success and will be instrumental to achieving the company’s growth goals. 50% travel may be required. 

Skills/Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in healthcare marketing or consulting
  • Fluency with managed care environment and key drivers of success in gaining reimbursement
  • Analytical ability, comfort with science and numbers, cost-effectiveness models
  • Microsoft Excel capability, building and packaging economic models
  • Competitive and positive attitude, team player
  • Passion for changing medicine

Natera develops genetic tests that help families have healthy children. The company has a CLIA-certified laboratory in California and unique technologies that combines expertise in molecular biology with advanced statistical techniques. These techniques enable Natera to analyze tiny quantities of DNA more accurately than anyone else in the world, primarily serving OBGYN physicians and their patients. 

The team consists of over 300 statisticians, geneticists, doctors, laboratory technicians and software engineers from top-tier universities. Our technology has been funded by six grants from the National Institute of Health and a group of private investors led by Sequoia Capital and Orbimed investors. Natera is already providing genetic testing services to over 300 IVF centers, OBGYN practices, and partner laboratories in over 30 countries worldwide.
