UX Designer
You’ll help simplify complex tasks and user flows into intuitive, accessible and easy-to-use interfaces for millions of health insurance shoppers across the nation. You’ll empathize with the user and be able to position yourself as the consumer of your end product. You’ll critically analyze user tasks for new flows and apply the latest UI patterns and techniques to come up with solutions that delight. You’ll share ownership of the UX process with teams of Product Managers and developers, sketch together and help prototyping in code as quickly as possible (Show, don’t tell).
  • Work with product teams to understand user and business needs, identify interaction design problems, and visualize solutions quickly.
  • Map information architecture, identify wireframe key user interactions, wireframe user flow, prototype on-page interactions and flows, and simulate user interfaces. Validate assumptions through user tests.
  • Collaborate and communicate with other designers, front end engineers, and product managers in ensuring that end user needs and usability are always in focus. Be in sync with other Agile Development cycles (LEAN UX).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to build interactive prototypes in both low and hi fidelity toolsdepending on the need – anything from paper & pencil, PowerPoint, Axure, Lucidchart, Omnigraffle, Fireworks, mobile apps, all the way to click-through prototypes in HTML/CSS/JS.
  • Ability to rapidly shift of perspective from big picture decisions( solve the right problem) to pixels( clean crisp presentation)
  • Familiarity or experience with cutting edge tools like InvisionApp, Flinto, IxEdit, Twitter Bootstrap, Jetstrap, Zurb Foundation Tools, and Adobe Edge Animate.
  • Ability to present concepts and ideas crisply.
  • 5 or more years of design experience in the industry. Experience with responsive web design, mobile UI and large scale web applications. An educational background in any branch of design or HCI would be a plus.
