Natera is looking for a highly motivated research scientist to join a world-class team of scientists to lead development of new cutting edge, DNA based molecular biology techniques and diagnostic assays. The responsibilities of this position include generating new ideas, leading them from proof of concept to working prototype and then interfacing with development scientist to ready them for commercial launch.

•PhD in genetics, molecular biology, or related field and > 4 years of experience in molecular biology research 

•Proven ability to originate new methodologies

•Very well developed ability to rigorously analyze experimental data, some bioinformatics and statistical analysis experience a plus

•Demonstrable success in managing independent research projects and communicating results and timelines to management and colleagues

•Possess deep knowledge of essential molecular biology methods such as qPCR, electrophoresis, DNA quantitation, PCR, DNA biochemistry, microarrays, NGS

•Experience with multiplex PCR and next generation sequencing a strong plus
