Area Service Manager - Central Region
Responsible for providing technical assistance, equipment commissioning, controls commissioning, and warranty support for Daikin’s complete product line. Responsible for conducting technical training in various subjects including installation, commissioning, service and maintenance of Daikin’s RA, SkyAir and VRV products. Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key Manufacturer’s Representatives and Distributors within the assigned territory.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides technical support via phone and email to support Daikin’s full product line.
Provides on-site technical support as required.
Completes Field Service invoices with pertinent data.
Advises on the set up of control systems and the commissioning of product
including refrigerant charging, addressing, operational data and field settings.
Provide information and conduct training sessions pertaining to proper installation
techniques, equipment commissioning, controls commissioning and troubleshooting of
Daikin indoor units, outdoor units, controls and accessories for Manufacturer’s
representatives, Distributors and Contractors.
Collects and analyze system data from Daikin systems via Daikin’s proprietary Service
checker tool and provide solutions to customers.
Provides instructions to customers regarding operation and care of unit, equipment
operation and controls setup and scheduling.
Substantial travel within assigned region.
Perform other related job duties as assigned.
Minimum 10 years technical service experience within the HVAC industry.
Associates Degree or HVAC Certificate preferred.
Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification required.
Valid Driver’s license required.
Must have own vehicle available and insurance coverage.
Must be willing to travel at least 60%.
Ability to apply knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning theory and structural layout.
Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse client group.
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Ability to effectively communicate ideas and properly describe problems and solutions.
Demonstrated technical skills to explain product functionality to customers.
Well developed planning, organization, analytical, and decision making skills.
Proficient computer skills, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to produce clear, timely and concise documentation and have well developed problem solving skills.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Mainly Central Region and may assist in others.
