TITLE:
Event Staff
1st, 2nd , and 3rd shift; weekends and holidays’ 
*Amount of hours per week will vary greatly based on the amount of events we have scheduled and your personal availability.


SCOPE:
Special Event Staff provides services for events such as concerts, sporting events, trade shows and conferences at various locations around Battle Creek and Kalamazoo, MI

JOB DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Practice the G. I. F. T. S program method of customer service.
  • Hospitality Position – must be very customer service oriented.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Primary responsibility is to protect the performer(s) and patrons of each event.
  • May be required to make rounds of the area.
  • Ensure unauthorized persons do not enter restricted areas.
  • Check for employee and vendor identifications.
  • Look for suspicious persons, packages and activities.
  • May direct traffic on the premises.
  • Must follow venue specific guidelines.
  • May be required to complete incident reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.



QUALIFICATIONS:


  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to work days, evenings & weekends. 
  • Must be available to work at least 2 events per month.
  • Must have excellent customer service, organizational, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
