HX5 is seeking a Schedule Analyst Lead to support the IRES contract at the Missile Defense Agency.  This position is located at Schriever AFB, CO. It involves detailed knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project as a scheduling tool. This person will support Earned Value Management by implementing Integrated Cost/Schedule management processes. S/He will have strong analytical, communication and presentation skills needed as well as the ability to operate independently.
Duties include, but are not limited to: developing Integrated Master Schedules (IMSs) with IT Services Task Order leads and Project Managers; providing oversight and independent review of other schedulers work, status and analyzing IMSs on a weekly/monthly basis with Project Managers and Control Account Managers (CAMs) and consulting on variance analysis and corrective action plans as necessary; performing Schedule Risk Assessments and providing schedule recommendations based on analysis; use of critical path methodology and application in network development, analysis, and problem resolution; participating in Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBRs); coordinating with the IRES systems engineering to integrate IMSs into the MSProject Server environment and the IRES-level IMS. This person will review and analyze resource loading and milestone interdependencies across multiple IT task orders and advise TO leadership on potential issues and risks. S/He must be able to work in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and manage a minimum of two large dollar task orders with baseline and embedded discrete project schedules. They will support documentation of IRES process for task order scheduling and EVMS certification by the government.
Education and Skills Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 12 years of general experience OR and AS degree with 10 years of general experience OR a BS degree and 8 years of general experience
  • 6 years of directly related experience
  • 3 years management or leadership experience
  • Recent experience in managing projects in a DoD environment utilizing Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and the ability to adhere to financial guidelines (DCMA experience.)
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office products especially with MS Project/Server
  • Knowledge of best practices for MS Project Server in a large scale/integrated Enterprise environment
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working independently and in a collaborative environment
  • Active Secret clearance
*Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Proficiency with SharePoint
  • Experience using SRA tools
  • Experience within Missile Defense Agency
QA certifications, related degree, ITIL Process experience a plus, ITIL Intermediate Certification for Service Transition, QA Auditing Methodology, Engineering Methodology, System Lifecycle Methodology, Root Cause Analysis, or Failure Mode Effect Analysis. Six Sigma green belt experience. Working knowledge of Risk Management Systems. Knowledge of ISO 9001, ITIL, AS9100 with practical application experience. Knowledge of Missile Defense, Software Engineering, Engineering Services, DoD communications systems, or process improvement initiatives.
