JOB DUTIES:
  • Maintaining all floors in public areas as assigned at Oak Hammock
  • Public areas are defined as entrances, lobbies, parlors, offices, lounges, corridors, stairwells, laundries, trash rooms, restrooms, storage areas, activity, dining rooms, and service hallways
  • Completes activity set-ups of chairs, tables and equipment for various activities in designated rooms as scheduled throughout the community
  • Break down rooms at the conclusion of said scheduled events
  • Performs requested miscellaneous services for members, or as assigned by Supervisor such as: moving furniture to another location; moving items to storage; turning mattresses; stripping/refinishing floors; carpet cleanings, and annual periodic cleaning as directed and scheduled by Housekeeping Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Six months to one year of practical experience
  • Must be able to read and understand printed instructions for the use of chemicals and cleaning agents
  • Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Able to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions  
  • This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
  • All applicants must successfully pass a drug screen and Level II background check.
