Responsibilities:
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN works under the direction of the DON
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN assesses training needs; plan in service education and training programs
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN implements new employee orientation
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN maintains staff development policies
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN documents professional nursing services and instructs other nurses to effectively document clinical services provided
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN is dedicated to delivering a high level of customer service driven by customer satisfaction
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN assists in maintaining quality and resident care standards
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN supervises and directs subordinate staff in meeting Quality standards
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN observes and assesses resident physical conditions and behaviors in response to quality of care provided- Ensures proper documentation of clinical services provided occurs daily
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN complies, analyzes and reports quality data-Chairs the QAPI committee and maintains all QAPI program records
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN acts as a resource to staff in identifying safety and risk management concerns and tracks/ trends data related to safety and risk management including Falls reporting, incident reporting and Infection reporting
  • Education and Quality Assurance RN maintains confidentiality of members’ PHI (Protected Health Information) and medical records information as well
  • This position is classified as a level 4 in the ePhi Access Group levels
  • This position is an essential role and the incumbent may be required to work during emergency situations including natural disasters
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred) and currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Florida
  • Must have relative experience in Quality Assurance, Clinical Operations oversight/ supervision experience, staff education experience, and computer proficiency
  • Two to three years of nursing experience in long-term care is required; three to five years’ experience preferred
  • Ability to work closely with professional and non-professional staff members
  • Ability to assess educational needs and design and develop responsible curricula
  • Working knowledge of the use of established clinical and preceptorship models in the development of clinical education programs
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present effectively to small and large groups
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
  • This individual will need to be empathetic, energetic, and have an affinity for working with a diverse senior population
  • All applicants must successfully pass a drug screen and Level II background check
