Project Coordinator

Job Status: Full-time (at least 37.5 hours/week); Grant-funded position

Primary Purpose/Position Summary:

The Project Coordinator is responsible for oversight of the Department of Justice Office of Violence Against Women grant to reduce sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking on campus.  This is a grant-funded position with anticipated employment dates beginning October 1, 2018 and ending September 20, 2021; the grant may be eligible for renewal.

General Responsibilities:
The coordinator will collaborate with campus and community partners to implement and track the objectives of the grant.  The coordinator will develop trauma informed and culturally responsive trainings and interventions, and assist in the review of university policy to integrate the grant objectives.
 
  1. Grant Management
  • Oversee the management of the Department of Justice Grant.
  • Attend required orientations and trainings.
  • Monitor the grant spending, tracking expenses, objectives and working with the Business Office.
 
  1. Coordinated Community Response Team
  • Chair the Team consisting of campus and community partners. 
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular meetings. Track attendance at meetings. 
  • Liaison with community partners and internal campus partners.
 
  1. Training and Programming
  • Develop a bystander intervention program. 
  • Oversee, assign, and monitor the sexual assault prevention online training program. 
  • Coordinate and provide trauma informed trainings for Public Safety, Conduct Hearing Officers and One Process Stakeholders as it relates to sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking.
 
  1. Evaluation and Assessment
  • Track outcomes of sexual assault and violence against women interventions, workshops, training.
 
  1. Perform other duties as requested, delegated or assigned.
 
Qualifications:
All qualifications are required unless otherwise indicated.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail are essential. 
  • Candidate must possess the ability to build working relationships with students, faculty and staff.
  • Ability to foster an inclusive University community and promote equity for all students
  • Ability to work nights and weekends required. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish or Polish preferred.
Education and Experience:
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Higher Education Administration or closely related area required. 
  • Experience in sexual assault prevention programming, grant management, and budget development preferred. 
A background screening is required.
